Future Schools Project: Shaping the Classrooms of Tomorrow

We are delighted to announce the commencement of the Future Schools project, an Erasmus+ initiative led by Mersin İl Milli Eğitim Müdürlüğü (E10135485 – TR). This forward-thinking project aims to revolutionize education by embedding sustainable practices and innovative methodologies into school curricula.

Bringing together a diverse and skilled consortium of partner organizations across Europe, the Future Schools project aspires to design educational practices that prepare students for the challenges of tomorrow while fostering a culture of sustainability and innovation

Project Objectives

Knowledge Exchange and Capacity Building: The project focuses on identifying common challenges in education and addressing them through collaborative learning and the sharing of best practices.
Promoting Sustainability in Education: A key focus is integrating sustainability principles into teaching methods and school activities, ensuring students gain practical knowledge and skills to address global environmental, social, and governance (ESG) issues.
Empowering Educators: Supporting teachers with innovative teaching tools and methodologies, including the Flipped Learning Approach, to create more engaging and impactful lessons.
Enhancing Collaboration: Strengthening partnerships between schools, public bodies, and training organizations to encourage an integrated approach to education.
Fostering Student Engagement: Encouraging students to take an active role in their learning journeys through interactive and practical ESG-focused activities.

Key Activities and Deliverables

Curriculum Design: Development of a comprehensive curriculum framework that incorporates the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) into various subjects. Utilization of the Flipped Learning Approach to encourage student-centered and experiential learning.
Micro-Training Course: A specialized course for educators to understand and apply sustainability-focused educational strategies. Resources and guidelines for designing and delivering ESG lessons effectively.
Teachers’ Careers Package: A toolkit of 20 ready-to-implement activities to help teachers incorporate ESG themes into their daily teaching. Strategies for long-term professional development and integration of innovative teaching practices.
ESG School Plan: A structured guide to help schools implement the Flipped Learning Approach and ESG-focused educational activities in a cohesive and sustainable way.
